Donna Brazile to Assume Role of DNC Interim Chair

Donna Brazile

POLITICAL NEWS – CNN political contributor Donna Brazile will assume the role of interim chair of the Democratic National Convention in the wake of Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s resignation after a recent email scandal.

Despite being named to the position, Brazile will continue to appear on CNN as the network covers the convention in Philadelphia this week.  She will assume her role as interim chair on Thursday after the convention ends.

Schultz was ousted as chair of the DNC after it was revealed that members of the supposed-impartial organization had been covertly working to ensure Hillary Clinton won the party’s nomination for president over her heated rival Bernie Sanders.
