Stating July 1, minimum wage in Louisville will be $7.75 an hour.

The new rate took effect after the Kentucky Court of Appeal denied a request for an emergency injunction to stop Louisville’s minimum wage increase.

All companies in Jefferson County, including independent cities and unincorporated areas, are required to start paying their hourly employees — excluding tip workers — the new rate.
