Louisville’s Russell Neighborhood Among 10 to Receive Federal Revitalization Grant

LOUISVILLE, KY – The U.S. department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) today awarded $1 million to the city of Louisville to support local efforts to revitalize the Russell neighborhood.

The West Louisville neighborhood was one of 10 “severely distressed” neighborhoods throughout the nation that received a Choice Neighborhood Initiative grant, which is designed to help local leaders craft comprehensive, homegrown plans to revitalize and transform troubled areas.
